PM Modi Unveils Innovative Tech-Driven ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan’ Against Drug Abuse

In a significant move to combat drug abuse, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’. This campaign is a call to the youth of India to spearhead a national movement against the scourge of drug addiction. The initiative is set to unfold over a 100-week period, focusing on public participation with various activities organized every Sunday. These will include sports events, walkathons, meditation sessions, cultural programs, and community outreach efforts.

In his virtual address to the participants, Modi highlighted the detrimental impact of drug trafficking, which he claimed is being exploited by adversarial forces to undermine India’s progress and target its young population. He stressed the importance of shielding the youth from addiction as a crucial step towards achieving a developed India, or ‘Viksit Bharat’. The Prime Minister expressed optimism about the campaign, noting the involvement of over one crore young individuals from diverse backgrounds across the nation.

Modi’s remarks underlined a critical national security perspective, pointing out that drug abuse serves as a tool for those wishing to destabilize the country and weaken its future generations. He urged young people to become advocates for a drug-free lifestyle, emphasizing that their commitment is essential for the nation’s overall development and prosperity.

Furthermore, Modi acknowledged the proactive stance taken by lakhs of young Indians who have committed to staying free from drugs and are working to raise awareness about the dangers of addiction within their communities. This mass participation aims to foster a collective consciousness and accountability among the youth, empowering them to take charge of their futures and contribute positively to society.
