Modi, Zelensky Discuss Tech Innovations in Peace Efforts for Ukraine Conflict

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held discussions on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Evian, France, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation amid the ongoing situation in Ukraine. During the meeting, Modi reaffirmed India’s steadfast commitment to peace and diplomacy, emphasizing that New Delhi prioritizes “the values of humanity over everything else.” He highlighted the importance of reviewing and enhancing cooperation between India and Ukraine in various sectors, including trade and reconstruction efforts.

President Zelensky expressed optimism about India’s potential for collaboration, noting his eagerness to expand joint projects with New Delhi. He stated that both nations are set to further develop their economic and industrial ties, with directives given to their respective teams to draft detailed proposals for future partnerships. The discussions signal a mutual interest in strengthening the ties between the two countries, particularly in economic domains.

The meeting takes place against a backdrop of continued international efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. India has maintained its stance of engaging with both Kyiv and Moscow, consistently advocating for dialogue as the means to end the war.
