UAE Indian Mission Launches Tech-Driven Direct Booking for Passport, Visa Services

Date:

In a significant development aimed at streamlining consular services, Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have launched a new online system for handling passport, visa, and attestation services. This system allows applicants to book appointments directly through an official online portal at no additional cost, eliminating the need to pay booking fees.

The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai are now providing these consular services directly from their respective premises. This change is designed to enhance efficiency, simplify procedures, and eliminate unauthorized service charges that have plagued applicants in the past.

Officials have emphasized that appointments for these services must be secured exclusively through the official online portal. They have cautioned applicants against paying any individual, agency, or intermediary that claims to offer appointment bookings or expedited services on behalf of the Indian missions.

Furthermore, the missions have issued a warning against any organizations or representatives purporting to be officially authorized to provide appointment services. Individuals who suspect they have been misled, overcharged, or falsely represented are urged to report such incidents using the official contact channels of the Embassy or Consulate.

Indian nationals residing in the UAE, as well as travelers, are advised to rely solely on official communications and verified platforms for information regarding consular services. This precaution is necessary to avoid falling victim to fraud and incurring unnecessary charges.
