Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant milestone on Wednesday, celebrating 25 years of uninterrupted public service with an address at the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ in New Delhi. Reflecting on his journey that began as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, Modi expressed gratitude to citizens and party workers, emphasizing the pivotal role of public support in his career.
During his speech, Modi acknowledged the influence of both supporters and critics in shaping his political path. He noted that while supporters provided encouragement, critics offered valuable lessons that prompted personal growth. “Those who brought me down taught me how to rise again,” he remarked, highlighting the importance of introspection and resilience.
Reiterating his vision for India’s future, Modi called for collective efforts to transform the nation into a developed country by 2047. He emphasized the significance of self-reliance and India’s ambition to rank among the world’s top three economies, stressing that these objectives could be achieved through the collective efforts of its people.
The Prime Minister expressed deep appreciation for the trust of the Indian populace and acknowledged the contributions of BJP workers in supporting his public journey. “For me, people are God,” he stated, underscoring the importance of serving humanity and fostering national unity.
Modi also highlighted his ongoing commitment to learning, describing himself as a lifelong student eager to acquire new knowledge. Recalling his school days in Vadnagar, he shared how this passion for learning has remained integral throughout his public career.
The Prime Minister concluded his address by spotlighting India’s advancements in aviation, referencing the bravery displayed by Indian pilot Smit Machchhar during a recent flydubai flight incident. He expressed optimism that the world would soon witness aircraft manufactured in India, reiterating his call for continued efforts towards a self-reliant and developed India by 2047.
